Project Examples
Columbia Children’s Arboretum construction oversight.
Redevelopment of an asphalt road and building a new paved path running the length of the Columbia Children’s Arboretum. The project took place very close to many trees, including a designated heritage tree, requiring careful excavation and regular arborist oversight.
Southeast Portland utility tree protection planning and construction oversight.
Constructing new sewer and water lines through southeast Portland including Ladd’s Addition, Sunnyside and Buckman neighborhoods. Brandon designed tree protection plans to prevent tree damage. Work occurred very closer to large trees requiring arborist oversight when roots were encountered and overhead pruning for equipment access.
Pettit Reservoir Trail
Our role was to inventory and provide a tree protection plan for the a trail project in the City of Silverton. The proposed trail begins at the entrance to the Oregon Gardens and extends around the Pettit Reservoir. The site is characterized by steep slopes on the southern and eastern edges of the reservoir and a levee on its western side. Wetlands are present within the trail’s proposed footprint.
Tree Appraisals for Removed Tree
Laurelin Tree consulting provided a report detailing the observations and findings to appraise a removed Oregon white oak in Lake Oswego, Oregon. The tree had been previously removed so all of our information had to be obtained from photographs. We compared techniques within the cost method to determine the value of the previously removed tree.
Residential Tree Protection Planning
The City of Portland required an arborist prepared tree protection plan for a new building a new additional dwelling unit (ADU) below an existing residence required. A report accompanied the report summarizing tree protection recommendations including tree protection fencing, soil protection and arborist oversight to preserve the tree under Performance Path Tree Protection.
